Engage Communication

Engage Communication was founded in 1989, and has since developed a strong reputation as an innovator of networking solutions that focus on the dynamic market evolution taking place within the TDM and IP networking environments. Distinguishing itself from other pre-public companies, Engage Communication has established itself as a profitable company with proven products targeted at substantial and growing markets.
Mission Statement
Engage Communication enables enterprises, small-medium businesses, Government Agencies, Armed Forces, and telecommunications service providers to take advantage of the lower costs and flexibility associated with IP/Ethernet transport while preserving the enormous investments made in legacy premises equipment such as PBXs, switches, multiplexors, routers, video codecs, and encryptors.
TDM over IP
The IP•Tube encapsulates full and fractional E1 TDM circuits, along with all framing and signaling, into IP packets. E1 Over IP/Ethernet connection provides for the transparent interconnection of PBXs, Telecom Switches and TDM based communication systems via LANs, WANs, MANs, and Wireless Ethernet.
The full feature set/option set available with IP-Tube products:
· Assured Delivery Protocol (Standard Feature) – Greatly improves on UDP best-effort transport used in TDM-over-Ethernet products by enabling retransmission of dropped packets as well as packet out-of-sequence correction
· Lossless Data Compression (Option) - Economize IP/Ethernet bandwidth by eliminating idle and redundant data inherent in voice communications.
· Far-End Echo Cancellation (Option) - Echo-Free T1/E1 Voice over Ethernet in High Latency Networks
· Link Protector (Option) - Backup T1/E1 Leased Lines with T1/E1-Over-IP. Automatic Protection Switch for T1/E1 Local Loop
· Alternator (Option) - Load Balancing over dual Ethernet for bandwidth-limited connections such as xDSL
· Protector Automatic Protection Switching (Option) - Failover from primary Ethernet path to backup Ethernet path in the event of Ethernet failure
SS7 over IP
· Enable phone switches to exchange E1/TDM-based SS7 signaling over an IP or Ethernet interconnection, eliminating the cost of leased E1 connections.
· Enable centralized monitoring of remote switches by transporting SS7 signaling from multiple remote switch locations to a central analysis site where SS7 costly analyzer instruments and personnel are located.
· Enable centralized monitoring of remote switches by encapsulating SS7 signaling into IP for capture and archiving in standard packet format, readable by Ethernet packet analyzers.
Serial Data over IP
Encapsulation of synchronous serial data from standard DTE and DCE equipment such as Type 1 Data Encryptors, Terminal Servers and Video Codecs into a Transparent Bandwidth-Regulated IP Tunnel. Data rates to 16 Mbps.
HDLC Over IP
Connect to the leased line interface of Enterprise WAN Equipment and encapsulate HDLC frames into IP for transport to the remote site where data is presented to the remote WAN router as the original HDLC frame.
Engage Delivers WAN
Engage is a leader in the integration of Telecommunication and Networking technologies that deliver complete high performance WAN solutions. Multilink Point-to-Point (MLPPP) Inverse Multiplexing enables Broadcast Quality MPEG video delivery over multiple T1/E1 links.
