THE COMPANY
Established in 1978, MSS International has provided software products primarily for users of the then Burroughs and latterly UNISYS, mainframe environment, yet always with an underlying philosophy of machine independence.
MSS offer solutions in all aspects of legacy systems including re-engineering, tuning and porting.
The MSS reputation grew from its ability to design and develop new technologies faster than its competitors. Our unique pricing policy of “NO RESULTS - NO PAY” continues to prove very popular with our customer base. As a consequence, when a number of our customers wished to move platforms, MSS was their first port of call. It was at this time that MSS developed the initial version of MIGRATOR to assist them in moving to new environments.
This new generation of migration methodology and tool set differentiates itself from the more conventional filters, by providing unique features, such as:
- Conversion by system, not program by program
- Optimised code for target machines
- Improved quality of resultant software
- A move to RDMS technology
- Automatic verification of migrated code and data
MIGRATOR has been used successfully by many companies around the world, to the extent that MSS are justifiably proud of their reputation of completing complex projects on time and within budget.
In order to add further value to conversion projects, MIGRATOR is continually being developed. MSS has been called upon to tackle varying and complicated conversions both large and small. Indeed in some cases, major hardware vendors claimed the proposed conversion impossible.
